A bath birth is a pleasant way of giving birth, because of the warm water. This creates a safe and relaxing atmosphere that can help you between contractions. The warm water also helps the muscles to relax better and this will help with the pain. Most women are very positive about bath birthing.

Our practice guides a bath birthing at home and you can rent a birthing bath from Birth Pool in a Box at our practice.
There is also a possibility for a polyclinical bath birth at the Flevoziekenhuis. One of the maternity suites also has a large King-size bath installed, so there is room enough to relax, also with the partner. During the pushing phase it is nice to get some emotional support or help from your partner.
